Isbjörnarna is the class for students aged 10-13 years old. In this class, we broaden our comprehension of the Swedish language, Swedish culture, and history. This year, we are focusing on learning the basics of the Swedish era of the 17th century, Stormaktstiden, and learn about the incredible Vasa ship, Stockholm’s castle, and major kings and queens of this era. We will also investigate more into our own family history with our project Min Släkt, where we will focus on speaking, writing, and spelling Swedish. The class is led by Mia and Helena.
